To mark this year's National Law Day, the National Policy Forum (NPF) decided to collaborate with the Student Welfare Council of National Law College as an event partner for their annual signature programme "Lex Fiesta 2081".
From moot court competitions, and policy recommendations to a dedicated conference with training on AI and Law alongside discussion on various pressing issues, the "संगम" sims for an assemblage of all the people from the Nepali Legal Fraternity and empower students by enhancing their research, oration and presentation skills.
As an event partner, NPF will play an active role in assisting students in submitting and presenting these recommendations to relevant stakeholders, such as ministers, members of parliament, and civil society organizations.

"The festivities kicked off on 26th Baisakh, 2081 B.S., with the first-ever Legal Hackathon. Sponsored by the National Policy Forum and organized by the newly formed Think Tank and Research Committee (TTRC) of the Student Welfare Council (SWC), the hackathon was a revolutionary initiative in the field of law.
Participants were tasked with addressing e-commerce issues. The three finalist teams, LH 11, LH 13, and LH 19, presented policy papers and faced rigorous questioning from esteemed experts including Mr. Pawan Acharya, Mr. Alok Subedi, and Mr. Rastra B. Timalsena. LH 11, composed of Amshu Wagle and Samasti Magar, emerged victorious.
The event concluded with a crisis management round, where teams navigated a hypothetical scenario involving foreign e-commerce companies, local protests, and data privacy issues, showcasing their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills."
